In August 2008, IIMS Dataworks will release its new national survey on
independent financial advisors (IFAs) and life insurance agents. The survey will
produce the first strategic view of the prevailing opportunities and gaps in
building a mass market for mutual fund products through appropriate sales and
distribution capabilities, practices and incentives. Most of India's leading mutual
funds are participating in this syndicated study. The random sample of IFAs and
agents has been drawn across super metros, metros and class-I towns and the
survey will collect data from 36 towns located in 18 States.
